Hi Jon

So good to see a posting from you. I have been working with a rescue group that rescues American Eskimos. I was avoiding being a foster as I already have 3 dogs of my own but when the foster home fell through for Freddie I could not say no. I drove 2 hours south to pick him up from the pound he was in and am now trying to guard my heart so when his forever home is found I can let him go. I will try to send a picture as soon as I can.

He goes tomorrow morning for neuter surgery.

Hope you find the avenue for working with pets. You are so good at it.

Define soon. I’ve been busy working so I can give my paycheck to the vets. It looks as though my dogs (all rescued) are getting to that age. My boxer Ginger had a tumor removed in January. It was back just as big (and it is huge) in 3 months. We just removed it again. Meanwhile, it looks like she picked up a bug at the vet’s office and now has difficulty breathing. She lost her vision in both eyes a week before the surgery. The tumor and blindness are not related. Her eye looks horrible where the vet said she had an ulcer and he stitched it up. I think it’s infected and it looks horrible, but the emergency vet was not in the least concerned. Between you and me, I don’t have a lot of faith in these two doctors. Especially when the emergency vet starts our conversation with she calls boxers cancer boxes as they are prone to multiple cancers. How cold is that? If you want, you can check out my blog (scroll on down) and you can see her picture. Let me know what you think.
