Charity’s First Photo In Wheelchair
Charity loves her new wheelchair. I took a video of her running all around the PoochHeaven ranch where Sherri lives. She’s a lot less anxious when she is with her new “wheels” and it doesn’t seem to hurt her at all. More news and a link to the video are coming soon!

Hi Jon, I found your blog through Kathy Weller. You’re doing wonderful work…the story of Charity is so heartbreaking but you are giving her the love and care she deserves.
My dog, Abby who passed away in March eventually lost the use of her back legs. We got her a pet stroller (justpetstrollers.com) which she loved. Maybe Charity would like one of those too!
Keep up the amazing grace you’re showing these animals. They’re lucky they found their way to you!

YEAH! Can’t wait to see a video of her sprinting in her new wheels! She looks like she is smiling in the photo!

We are thrilled to see how well Charity’s cart fits, and her video is great. We wonder if you could give credit to Ed at Eddie’s Wheels for the specially designed cart we made for her. Other people might want to know where to get such nice wheels for their own dogs.
They can go to http://www.eddieswheels.com to see the work we do for all kinds of disabilities. Thanks for the work you do, and for taking such great care of Charity.

I would be happy to take Charity if she is still available. I have 2 other Chihuahua’s…one on the verge of needing a wheelchair (inbred…very bad knees) In fact I was researching the wheelchair when Charity came up.!!
She is Such a cutie!!

Hi Jon:
I’m Fernando from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. I want to know where you bought the chair of Charity. I have small chihuahua named Pepper, which has a similar problem. I want to buy an identical one for her. I’ ll have reunite money for this.
Thanks. Excellent page!

Oh she looks so gorgeous in her chair. I came across your you tube video searching chihuahua as I’m waiting on my new pet to be old enough to come home (only 3 weeks old).
I can’t believe the extent of her injury – that x-ray just about made me lose my lunch
she’s such an adorable little thing, if I were in the US I’d do anything I could to help. Once I get set up (settled with new pup, and yard secured) I’m aiming to foster cats and dogs for the local no-kill organisation, who take animals from our RSPCA shelters to save their lives.
Most people would have put her down instantly without any consideration for how good a life she might just be able to have! So good on you guys for trying to exhaust all options and save death as a last resort.
I’m wondering though, wouldn’t it be better to have her spine set together, just to hold up her back end a bit? I saw a few times watching her trot around, the broken upper end looks almost like it’s going to pop through her skin one day
I am a bit on the paranoid side though!
Anyway thanks for highlighting this. Your page is great
